Darrin sighed as he stood just outside the entrance of the tower, he looked around him, nothing. He was at least glad to be outside, he really hated being kept in the tower, with the same people, day in and day out, it gets really tiring after awhile.
The Sun Grew warmer, which sent Darrin inside, he looked around, the same people as always, he only wished that something would happen around here, anything! Just so life wouldn't be boring.
He sat down by a window and stared outside, he thought about what the inside of this base they where protecting, looked like. He laid his head back and dreamed about what it would be like to work there, but he thought about it, he didn't want to work there, no, we wanted to be free.
Free from being trapped in a cage loke a animal, yet he got more respect being a guard it was useless seeing how they where never around people in the first place, He Sighed, and stared off into space.

General Ravyn walked down the hallway of the west wing, her high heels clicking on the floor and her nose in a newspaper. How often had she read opinions from rebellious young people who flooded the paper with how evil the government was. Apparently it was keeping secrets from the townsfolk and they were demanding to be let in on the "secrets". Well, she was the top General in the country and even she didn't know anything more than the general public had knowledge of. Why should they be complaining?
President King had recently spoken to her about Base 303's lab that had recently been set up for research about the myth of whether animals truly exist. This was utter nonsense and she couldn't believe it was rolling of the tongue of the President. She had wanted to exclaim how ridiculous these theories were but hadn't wanted to offend this higher-ranked woman. Seriously though, she wondered exactly what evidence that scientist in the lab had for such theories.
She was deeply attached to one opinion section she was reading when she stumbled into something tangible. She lowered her paper and looked over at what she'd bumped against. It was one of the guards. "Oh, excuse me," General Ravyn said, politely.

Darrin jumped up to attention when he heard the generals voice. "Good Evening General Rayvn." He said in a professional tone. "How are you doing?" He asked, relaxing a tad. His eyes looked around, mostly out the the window, he could never truly look the general in the eyes, he could remember his father telling him that, that was a trait of a bad guard. He shrugged the memory off, he never wanted to become a guard in the first place.
